WELLNESS WEDNESDAY

Hey folks, Sally Riggs here, fellow long hauler, psychologist, and your long COVID coach.

Many of you have seen me on various YouTube videos or podcast, or you might even have been to one of the workshops that I host live. And I've been thinking some time about how I might also find other ways to connect with you. Most people these days are sending out a weekly email newsletter. And, the difficulty with that, as a long hauler, is that if I had to write one email a week, it would take me all week to write it and it would probably take you all week to read it. So, it occurred to me that maybe I might just make a quick video and they won't be perfect, but you know, I'll do what I can. And we're all encouraging imperfection these days. And it'll have a few minutes of tips and we're gonna call it Wellness Wednesday. Some tips that will help you on your long COVID recovery journey.

As you know, things that I often talk about, psychological strategies for surviving long COVID, polyvagal theory and how that relates to our nervous system and how nervous system stuff is so important in our long COVID recovery. And then also thinking about treatment decision overwhelm and fatigue.

There are so many options out there as to what we should be doing medically and otherwise to recover from long COVID. And it's so overwhelming. And we often get paralyzed in terms of knowing where to start, not least of all, because there are no real randomized control trials. So I'll be talking a little bit about psychological strategies that can help us with decision making; some mindset stuff around decision making; and more about just tuning into our bodies and using that information to help us in our recovery.

So where can you find these videos? Well, if you've attended one of my workshops, you will already have been signed up for the newsletter and will be getting this automatically.
